IG kindergarten students are exploring "then and now" through their Wit and Wisdom curriculum. Today, they stepped back in time to 1825 with the help of Genesee Country Village Museum. They used their imagination to make breakfast, go to school and have recess. Students loved the butter churn, pretending to get water from the river, writing on a slate, playing with different toys and dressing up.

🎶🏆 We Did It—Again! 🏆🎶
We’re proud to announce that the district has been recognized as one of the Best Communities for Music Education for the 11th year in a row by the NAMM Foundation! 🎉🎼
This national recognition celebrates our district’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality music education for all students—from the first note to the final performance. Whether it’s band, chorus, or general music, our programs continue to inspire creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
👏 A huge thank you to our dedicated music educators, supportive families, talented students, and the entire school community for making this possible year after year.

🚓🐾 Exciting day in Mrs. VanVliet's first grade class! IPD Officers Cole and Kreiser, along with their special friend Ollie the police K-9, came to visit. 🐶
The students had fun learning about what a K-9 dog does and watching Ollie obey commands. They also learned about the education and training required to become a police officer.
Thank you, Officers Cole and Kreiser, for an unforgettable experience! Photos: https://eastirondequoit.smugmug.com/Ivan-Green/2024-25/Police-Dog #LancerPride
