The UPK Lottery is open for registration‼️Children who will be 4 years old on or before December 1 of the upcoming school year are eligible for EI Pre-K. 🙂 What do we provide through UPK⁉️ We provide a safe, nurturing environment for students to explore, be creative, ask questions, and pursue interests. Our Highscope curriculum encourages our children to excel in literacy and cognitive learning, but also to develop the fundamental skills that help determine success in adult life. 🩵🩶 What are the district UPK offerings⁉️ ▪️4 sections of full day UPK (2 at Helendale Road School, 1 at Ivan Green School and 1 at St. Ambrose Academy). ▪️2 sections of half day UPK at Ivan Green School and 2 sections at Liberty Post. Over 225 EI students and their families joined us for our LEGO Family Nights! 🎉 Everyone had a blast building their own Awesome LEGO Vehicles and enjoying some delicious pizza. 🍕 These fantastic events were made possible thanks to the support of Community Schools, The Center for Youth and the Stronger Connections Grant. Ivan Green students continued with Career Week presentations and got to see what a plumber does today! Students were able to do hands-on activities with pipes, bolts and other materials. They even got to try on different plumbing gear! ⚙️🚿💧🛠️ #LancerPride

Today, Ivan Green kindergartners had fun learning about what a superintendent does! Mrs. Grow captivated them with a story, treated them to yummy snacks, and listened to their thoughts on improving their school. 🌟 Some of their top suggestions? A bigger playground and a shorter school day! 🛝⏰

Ivan Green Kindergarteners had an exciting lesson about what a Physician Assistant does! 🩺✨ They explored the tools in a doctor's bag, colored their own versions, and learned how each tool helps keep people healthy. The highlight? Trying out the blood pressure cuff and thermometer like real healthcare professionals! #LancerPride

IG kindergartners kicked off their Careers unit with a special visit from DJ Joe Quatela! 🎧 The students learned all about what a DJ does and even got to show off some of their dance moves. 💃🕺#LancePride

Ivan Green students and staff have been on an incredible journey to reach their BEAR (Be Enthusiastic About Reading) Goal of 4,000 books. 🐻📚 With the help of their lovable mascot, Lance the Bear, and his friend Mrs. Dunn, who have been spreading the joy of reading on the morning show, they've been inspired to read more and more each day! Students and staff didn't just meet their goal— They surpassed it by reading a whopping 4,110 books! 🎉👏 To celebrate this fantastic achievement, every student received a special bookmark featuring Lance. 📖✨ #LancerPride
