Jessica Colavecchia
The East Irondequoit Central School District is pleased to announce the promotion of Jessica Colavecchia to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. Jessica has been a dedicated member of the district for nearly 17 years, beginning her career in East Irondequoit in May 2008. Her extensive experience and unwavering commitment to education make her an excellent fit for this new role.

Jessica's career in the district began as a High School Math Teacher, a position she held for 11 years. She then transitioned to a K-12 Math Coach for 2 years, followed by her most recent role as the Director of Math & Technology for the past 4 years.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, with a major in Adolescent Education: Mathematics from Geneseo. She furthered her education with a Master of Science in Education, majoring in Educational Technology Specialist from Nazareth. Additionally, she earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from the University of Rochester.

Jessica's passion for education was ignited at a young age, inspired by her mother, who was also a teacher. "I love having the opportunity to know the work we do daily in education is helping to shape our future generations to come. I also enjoy being a life-long learner myself, as I am always seeking ways to do what is best for our students and families," she shared.

In her new role, Jessica is excited to continue her journey with East Irondequoit. "I am humbled and honored to continue my career in East Irondequoit in this new role. I'm looking forward to continuing to implement innovative instructional practices that support academic excellence for all students. I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to be in a position where I can help create safe, caring, and supportive learning environments for our students and educators. I am excited for all the wonderful opportunities that we are planning for our students in future years," she stated.

Jessica extends her heartfelt gratitude to the Board of Education, administration, students, staff, and families for their unwavering support as she embarks on this new chapter. "Thank you for making this the best place to work," she added.
