The ENL (English as a New Language) program is overseen by Terri Robson, Director of Elementary and ENL. She provides support for faculty and staff in developing and implementing educational programs for English language learners (ELL).

This support includes:

• Organizing Parent Information Night and other opportunities for ELL community outreach and parent education

• NYSESLAT and NYSITELL testing

• Oversight of instructional practices that support academic achievement for ELL

• Compliance with state and federal regulations

East Irondequoit has 152 students identified as English Language Learners. These students are from more than 20 different countries and speak at least 20 different languages.
