Students in Ms. Spruill's and Mrs. Eichas' class are having **Snow Much Fun!**

Mark your calendars for our Online Safety Night! This informative night includes a presentation from the NYS Troopers about how to keep your kids safe while they are using the internet or social media. This presentation is open to all EI parents and guardians.

Our 3rd and 4th grade musicians did a beautiful job during their Winter concert! ❄️❄️🎶🎶

This morning, we celebrated our Golden Heart students during our community circle. 💛⭐️ A student from each classroom was nominated for consistently showing positive behaviors in school.

3rd and 4th graders have been working hard to prepare for their concert tonight! Photos: https://eastirondequoit.smugmug.com/Laurelton-Pardee/2023-24/3rd-and-4th-Grade-Winter-Concerts #LancerPride #WeAreEI

3rd grade students in Ms. Wright's class collaborated to put together a timeline about Galileo!

5th graders experimented with ways to filter seriously dirty water. They had to use whatever they could find in the classroom. Next week they will see a sure way to filter the water.

We have a PTA meeting coming up on January 16th to plan for our upcoming glow dance. We hope to see you there!

4th graders are learning about sound and sound waves in STEM/library. They went on a tour of the school checking decible levels and made noisemakers out of straws to explore how vibrations affect pitch and tone.

Mrs. Eichas' students are starting a reading unit on outer space. They were able to explore the book with an out-of-this world classroom atmosphere! 🌎🪐💫

In preparation for their unit on wordplay, fifth grade teachers set up a book tasting of their new novel, The Phantom Tollbooth.

Reminder: EI schools resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2. See you then!! #2024

A reminder that we do not have school tomorrow, 12/22 as this is the start of our winter recess. Here is the final newsletter for 2023:

We hope you have a wonderful holiday and break!

Ms. Wright's class had a great day making gingerbread houses to celebrate the holiday.

We just love this kid! Levi is a 3rd grade student who organized a "teacher party" to thank LP staff for their hard work before leaving for break. Thank you to our families who supported Levi and donated to his cause. We will be well fed the next few days. Thank you, Levi!

5th graders continue to explore careers in library and STEM!

Fifth graders are getting some hands on experience of a variety of careers this month in STEM and library. Students are exploring cosmetology, electrician, Navy drills, architecture and dentistry.
