Helendale Road Primary -

East Irondequoit CSD is excited to announce that Jessica Legere was appointed as principal of Helendale Road Primary School by the Board of Education on December 12, 2023. Mrs. Legere was previously an assistant principal at Longridge Elementary in the Greece Central School District for the last four years. Before becoming an assistant principal, she was a primary grade teacher for 12 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Teacher Preparation with a minor in Special Education and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University. She also has a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Rochester.  Her passion is educating the whole child. “Each student has a story,” states Mrs. Legere, “it’s up to us to learn it and help put them on a path to success.  I am passionate about removing barriers that impede student success and building partnerships with teachers, staff and families that benefit students.”  Mrs. Legere is excited to join East Irondequoit as the principal of Helendale Road and looks forward to collaborating with the school community to develop a love of learning in our youngest Lancers.
