Yesterday, EHS students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a vibrant, student-led event. Students spoke about their Hispanic heritage, listened to inspiring words from guest speaker Isaiah Santiago, the youngest member elected to the Rochester City School District Board of Education, who spoke about overcoming challenges and leadership. EHS student Ella also captivated the audience with a song from West Side Story. The celebration continued in the gym with empanadas, churros, sugar skull decorating, and dancing, bringing students and staff together in a fun and educational cultural experience.
