The East Irondequoit Board of Education has appointed Jessica Tasciotti as the new Assistant Principal at Eastridge High School. With a passion for fostering lifelong learning, Jessica will be a great addition to the EHS administrative team.
Jessica, an Eastridge Alumna herself, has taught 6th-grade English Language Arts (ELA) at East Irondequoit Middle School since 2022. Prior to teaching at EIMS, she spent seven years as a lead teacher at Rochester Prep Charter School. Her dedication to student success and commitment to building a supportive educational environment have made her a favorite teacher in the middle school. She says, “I am passionate about helping young people to see themselves as lifelong learners who are humble enough to know they do not know everything (yet) but are audacious enough to know just how much they bring to the table”. Her commitment extends beyond academics; she is equally passionate about fostering a community of mutual respect, support, and joy.
Jessica expressed her excitement about joining the EHS administrative team. “As a member of the EHS community,” she stated, “I am committed to supporting our students, teachers, staff, and families to the best of my ability. I hope to be a reliable and trustworthy resource for everyone.” Having attended Eastridge High School herself, she feels a deep connection to the school and its legacy.
While Jessica is excited to start this new position, she wants to send this heartfelt message to her middle schoolers: “I will see you all so soon. Keep being good people. Ms. Tasciotti loves you so much!”
Jessica will be joining the Eastridge administrative team alongside Principal John Gammon and Assistant Principals Tim Baker and Dan Roser.
