Eastridge has partnered up with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of NY for its Civics Outreach Program. The program pairs local attorneys with high school seniors to teach about the federal courts, the First Amendment and the decision in West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, (1943). Seniors welcomed multiple special guest speakers into their Participation in Government and Economics classes today. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in an essay contest, along with a mock argument competition through this program!
