Today the Eastridge Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) classes had a birthday party fundraiser for the Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha organization which collects donations for birthday gift bags for young people in the Rochester City School District who do not have the opportunity to experience a special birthday celebration. Today we are recognizing Thierry Ngarambe, member of Eastridge class of 2012. After Covid cut the 2020 basketball season short, Thierry was passionate about finding a way seniors could play one last game, which led to the creation of Rochesters Keepers, LLC.
Since hosting the very first tournament in 2020, Thierry has held multiple events, including the “RK Battle of Upstate NY” at Eastridge in summer of 2022.
He was nominated for not only bringing talented youth together from surrounding areas to enjoy a safe and positive environment, but for his dedication to the love of the game and where he comes from.
